Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why isn't the subwoofer producing as much bass as expected?
Check the enclosure size, amplifier settings, speaker polarity, and wiring. An improperly sized enclosure or reversed polarity can noticeably reduce bass output and overall impact.
- • What enclosure should I use for the best performance?
Use a sealed or ported enclosure that follows the manufacturer's recommended internal volume. The correct enclosure design helps the woofer deliver deeper, cleaner, and more controlled bass.
- • How should I wire the dual voice coils?
The dual voice coils can be wired in different configurations to achieve the desired final impedance. Confirm the wiring configuration matches your amplifier's minimum supported impedance before powering the system.
- • Why does the amplifier go into protect mode when the bass hits?
Check the final speaker impedance, power and ground connections, and speaker wiring for shorts. An incorrect load or unstable connection can cause the amplifier to enter protection when demand increases.
- • Why does the subwoofer sound distorted at high volume?
Distortion can result from excessive gain, amplifier clipping, or pushing the woofer beyond its limits. Lower the gain and volume, then verify the amplifier is properly matched and tuned.
- • Why is the subwoofer making a rattling or buzzing noise?
Check the enclosure, mounting screws, terminal connections, and surrounding vehicle panels for loose components. A secure installation can eliminate rattles that may sound like a damaged subwoofer.
- • Does the woofer need to be broken in?
A break-in period can help the suspension loosen gradually during normal use. Start with moderate listening levels and avoid sustained maximum output while the subwoofer is settling.
- • Can I use this with a factory radio?
Yes, but the subwoofer requires an appropriate amplifier. Depending on the factory system, a line output converter or compatible signal interface may also be needed.
- • Why does the bass disappear when I turn the volume up?
Check for amplifier clipping, protection mode, voltage drop, or an incorrect impedance load. These issues can cause the amplifier to reduce output or shut down when bass demand increases.
- • What amplifier should I use with this subwoofer?
Choose an amplifier based on the woofer's RMS power handling and final wired impedance. Matching the amplifier's clean RMS output to the subwoofer helps maximize bass while reducing the risk of damage.

Never did I ever imagine that this subwoofer is really powerful. For a 12-inch subwoofer, it is really affordable, which is why I hesitated at the start, but it really exceeded my expectations. Planning to buy one of these bad boys again for my other car.
